Zach Braff Totally Ruined His Own Coming Out Party (VIDEO)

Bright and early this morning, actor Zach Braff posted these beautiful words on his website: “I am an open member of the homosexual community,” and many of us howled with glee and rejoiced! A heartfelt and honest coming out announcement, even one with spelling errors and grossly overinflated, overemotional language, is a perfect reason to celebrate all that is good in this world. Woohoo! Zach Braff is gay! Let’s get on the Coming Out Party Bus!

Well, scratch that. Party ruined. Turns out Zach Braff is not gay after all. His old website was hacked (and not “hacked” like Anthony Weiner’s Twitter account either).

And so the next best coming out party is over before it even begins …

Zach Braff took to his Twitter account to clear up the rumor (and rain on our party plans) earlier:

My old website got hacked. I’m still straight. But not too straight; I still love musicals, brunch and Doogie Howser.

He also linked to this Scrubs moment, which he calls his “official statement” about the mixup:

Well, I guess we’ll have to come up with another reason to rent a party bus today. I bet Zach Braff’s girlfriend Taylor Bagley is pretty glad to hear that isn’t actually gay. Hey, that’s something to celebrate! Woohoo! Zach Braff isn’t gay! His girlfriend is so happy! Let’s get on the My Boyfriend Didn’t Change Teams Today Party Bus!
